Kristen Ross

An award-winning writer based in Miami, I have been telling stories since I first held my mother’s keyboard hostage as a four-year-old.

While my career has taken a few twists and turns, I began by studying screenwriting and penning features for various editorial publications on several topics, including health & wellness, real estate, and culinary adventures. To date, I have published over 50 articles for national magazines. My travel writing has appeared in The Globe and MailThe National Post, The Ottawa Citizen, and The Vancouver Sun, among others.

Before transitioning to writing full-time, I worked professionally in television as an actress, story assistant, and researcher — proof of which you may find here. This experience and my screenwriting skills make me uniquely well-suited to digital advertising.

Since 2020, I have worked as a Senior Copywriter & Brand Strategist for BOALT, an innovative “full-suite skunkworks lab” that provides technology solutions to companies in several sectors. Before that, I gained my obligatory Big Agency experience and ran my own freelance business.

The recipient of numerous screenwriting accolades, in 2017, I was awarded a double scholarship to the world-famous Odyssey Writers Workshop.

Where Words Matter is home to my digital portfolio.
